[Lunch time to avoid mosquitoes and the crowds ] Nestled within the tranquil embrace of a kampung, this Thai restaurant is a rare gem that evokes the charm of the Thai countryside. It’s a refreshing deviation from the bustling, commercial eateries most are accustomed to. Here, there is no hum of an air conditioner, only the melodies of nature and the harmonious laughter of patrons. The food is unmistakably authentic, reflecting the very soul of Thai cuisine. It’s evident in every bite that dishes here are crafted with the care and wisdom passed down through generations. While you might find yourself waiting a tad longer than usual for your meal, remember that good things come to those who wait. The chef, with her mother’s touch, creates culinary magic that’s worth every minute. The extensive menu offers a delightful array of dishes that cater to both the curious and the familiar. And as you enjoy your meal, the laid-back ambience ensures you’re encouraged to savor not just the food, but also the moment. There’s no rush here, only the age-old tradition of enjoying a meal with heart and soul. In summary, this isn’t just a dining spot; it’s an experience. If you’re in search of authentic Thai flavors in a serene, rustic setting, look no further. Don’t miss out on this kampung culinary delight. Highly recommended for those seeking a unique and heartwarming dining journey.

One of the authentic Thai restaurants in Malaysia, operated by a Thai lady who speaks fluent Mandarin. With her recommendations, our Thai dishes turned out very well. The menu is quite intriguing, and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. I will definitely be returning!

Super authentic Thai restaurant over on mainland Penang. Excellent place to have a Thai meal that matches the best of Thai restaurant fare that you can enjoy anywhere in Thailand, right here in Penang. We ordered and enjoyed a classic list of entrees that were really mouthwateringly good. Highly recommended would be the iconic Prawn Tomyum soup, doused with coconut milk and a concoction of spicy herbs and chillies. Spicy Pork Ribs, Lime Steamed Squid, Thai Style Seafood Otak and a Miang Kham platter made for a sumptuous meal for our 4 pax group. The authentic Thai cuisine flavours are guaranteed as we heard the chef is Thai from Bangkok. A 5-star dining experience for original taste, ambience and ample parking in front of restaurant entrance.

The food is delicious, the environment is comfortable, the dishes are served quickly, and you can let your children watch the fish in the fish pond.

Restaurant, which is modelled after a Thai village, has an extensive menu on Thai dishes. Ordered 7 to 8 dishes for 8 pax during lunch, a few were quite good, others just average. The otak in coconut had a rich fragrance from the added basil & kaffir lime while the crispy fried fish was another standout dish. The white tomyam was rather disappointing, with more veggies & herbs than seafood. Prices generally are quite steep, considering the place has no air-conditioning & is extremely humid due to its low zinc roof on a hot day.
